I Care hat pattern for RAICES

The "I Care" hat pattern created by Lisa McFetridge is about a passionate longing for reuniting immigrant families with their children. The hat pattern can be knit from your yarn stash: use worsted, DK, or fingering yarn and comes in sizes infant to adults  The pattern can be yours for a tiny donation. Lisa has designed many hats, the proceeds of which benefit organizations that help those in desparate need. This hat pattern benefits RAICES - the well-respected non-profit, Refugee and Immigration Center for Education and Legal Services in Central and South Texas. Knitting for charity, donate, and you get to keep the hat

As Lisa says, "No matter your stance on immigration, the children and their parents at the borders are the most vulnerable." RAICES provides legal services to help those who can't afford to bring their children home and reunify as a family unit. Donation for the "I Care" hat pattern using worsted, DK, or fingering yarn is a mere $2.00.

You might remember Lisa's "Boston Strong" hat that supported the
victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

And then there was the "Je Suis Charlie" with 100% proceeds going to UNICEF.
(Knitnscribble knit this one and can attest to Lisa's design skills and writing.)

And the "Live to Fight" or "Fight to Live," however you read it, unisex chemo hat pattern

And many, many more. Lisa is the master of charts and

Don't miss the ultimate school hat pattern, "College Application Hat," your design with Lisa's, instructions, charts and school colors.

You'll find the "I Care" hat pattern by Lisa McFetridge, for which you can use three different weights of yarn from your stash, here on Ravelry. Help reunite immigration families, parents and children. Please help those who cannot help themselves.
