Here is my very quick, very short knitting pattern for the Pussy Hat:
With 2 balls of DK yarn, used as one strand, or use a bulky weight yarn and cast on 54 sts, using a cable cast-on and a US 10.5 (6.5mm) circular needle. Gauge is 3 sts = one inch.
Join and work K2, P1 each round for 9.5 inches. Turn inside out and cast off, using the three-needle cast off. Whip in ends. Voilá! This hat measures about 18" when stretched. To enlarge this hat, add sts in multiples of 3 sts. NOTE: if you've cast on an uneven number of stitches, k2tog at end of last round before casting off. There is no special pattern for the ears, just a knit square. When you put the hat on, the kitten ears appear.

Gauge is approx. 3 sts = 1 inch. One strand of chunky yarn can also be used in the free pattern. This yarn is "Grace," silk and wool, a Louisa Harding yarn, 110 yards each. There was approximately 1/4 of each skein left. Happy knitting and stay together, #resist! #WomensMarch2018
