Bunny hat knitting pattern is Easter treat

copyright 2021, knitnscribble.com
You can knit this Easter bunny hat in a couple of days. The hat pattern is written in several individual sizes from three months to two years and fits right over the head, no ties, just like a balaclava hoodie. And best of all, this little rabbit hat suits girls or boys, depending on the color yarn you choose for knitting. I chose this tweedy pink as it complemented the worsted ribbed baby jacket below - and knit this funny bunny hoodie for our eight month old granddaughter. And it's the perfect match for the ribbed baby jacket.

Luscious infinity scarf for spring

Know you are all wondering if, indeed, spring will ever come. Perk up your spirits with an easy infinity scarf knitting pattern in a lovely spring colorway. I chose this scrumptious baby alpaca chunky by Cascade Yarns, 2 skeins from my yarn stash, color 634, which is a lovely lilac or lavender. It's a free pattern and although very easy, the knitted fabric is interesting on both sides.

Knitting Paris Fort unites support for freedom of speech

At the request of many French knitters, Lisa McFetridge has again contributed another knitting design in support of freedom of speech. Her hat pattern, Paris Fort, like Boston Strong, joins Je Suis Charlie, and is free, but Lisa asked that you make a small donation, or whatever you can to Reporters without Borders, a French-based worldwide organization that supports journalism and free speech. For more information on Lisa's wonderful hat patterns for freedom of speech, please follow this link.

Je Suis Charlie hat pattern by Boston Strong designer

In the wake of overwhelming tragedy of the terrorists strikes in Paris, Lisa McFetridge, knitting designer of the Boston Strong hats and scarves, has created the Je Suis Charlie cap pattern to honor the murdered journalists and defy all those who seek to stifle freedom of expression. The hat pattern is available now to the knitting community outside the EU, but due to VATMOSS, will be available shortly to EU knitters via Loveknitting.com. 100% of your donation goes to UNICEF.  Lisa has done beautiful hat designs for many special projects that in turn raise funds for charities around the world. Please find out more about her endeavors here and download the #JeSuisCharlie hat pattern.

Ribbed baby jacket reborn yet again

copyright S.Watterson/knitnscribble.com 2021
A good design becomes a great design with knitting collaboration. This analogy is so true of Debbie Bliss' "Ribbed Baby Jacket" a free baby sweater pattern.

After Magic Pixie Knitter posted her knock-off pattern, knitnscribble chose to change it once again. Here's my version of this generous sized quick knit baby sweater, 12-24 months. Links below.
