Sophisticated lace, cable, and Aran lace knitting patterns

Refined Knits is a brand new knitting book by Jennifer Wood and Interweave Knits. It is beautifully written with lace, cable, and Aran knitting patterns in all gauges, types of yarns, from extra small to plus size patterns. There are eighteen patterns in all to be cherished by intermediate knitters and beyond.

Included are cable cardigan knitting patterns that have saddle shoulders where the design reaches all the way to the cuff, gorgeous scarves, cowls, shrugs, and shawl patterns. Jennifer also has an interesting way of knitting the saddles, knit first, then back, in part, and fronts are picked up along the edges. Just ingenious work.

The "Shayla shrug" pattern is a favorite of mine, just beautifully designed, all the way to the cuff.

All knitting patterns have a generous size range like the "Keavy Simple Pullover," which ranges from 31.25 to 63 inches. And did I say "beautifully written?" Jennifer writes as few do, like she is speaking with the reader personally.

With tips for cabling without a cable needle, reading lace charts, and a glorious glossary, this 156+ page knitting pattern book is printed in color on substantial hard-milled 8.5x11" paper.

You can find Refined Knits: Sophisticated lace, cable, and Aran lace knitwear at Amazon, Interweave Knits, and at Barnes and Noble. You'll find Jennifer Wood at Wood House Knits.
